07 November 2019. The Field Operations Team of PeaceBuilders Community, led by Sihaya Ansibod, accompanied the team from the Philippine Relief And Development Services, Inc. (PhilRaDS) and delivered 1,000+ SphereStandard Relief Packs to the earthquake-affected families in Ilomavis who mostly belong to the Obo Manobo Indigenous People from Sayaban area. This is in response to the call of Datu Federico Sia of the Obo Manobo Tribal Council and Divina Sillador of the Mahomanoy Mountain Resort.

Volunteers from the Davao Bible Community Church and from other churches in certain parts of Mindanao worked together in repacking the relief goods and loading them on a ten-wheeler truck. The truck was made available through the facilitation of the Tenecio Family of Matina Southern Baptist Church. The Balono Family, our Davao-based Bangsamoro Muslim partners, provided medicines and helped in the relief distribution.
The ground data were done by our partners from the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of the Energy Development Corporation. The call for help and actual needs assessment were facilitated by Datu Federico Sia of the Obo Manobo Tribal Council.
This multi-organizational and multi-cultural relief operation is done in the context of a long-term strategic Inclusive Development initiatives among the Obo Manobo communities around Mt. Apo.
We are continually planning on a series of relief operations similar to this.
