Emil Jonathan “Jon” Soriano is a member of the Justice, Peace, and Reconciliation Commission (JPARCom) of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC). Jon and his colleagues build partnerships with Christian individuals, organizations, and churches to promote Peace Theology. These networks, along with PeaceBuilders Community, have been laboring to promote peace talks between the government and rebel groups. At the same time, they are seeking to help bring development to communities embroiled in conflict to build sustainable peace.

A PILGRIMAGE OF JUSTICE AND PEACE: MY PERSONAL REFLECTION ON 2GMP
This 2nd Global Mennonite Peacebuilding (2GMP) Conference and Festival was truly a pilgrimage of sorts. We all affirmed that we are on a common journey seeking to be faithful witnesses of the Kingdom of God and embodying Jesus’ way of Peace as we engage many challenges in bringing about Just-Peace in our different contexts.
