OPERATIONS

WE ARE PEACE OPERATIVES WITH CLEARLY DEFINED OBJECTIVES

An operation is a mission with clearly defined objectives and those objectives are implemented with discipline. We will devote the same discipline and self-sacrifice to non-violent peacemaking that armies devote to war.

Although we refer to ourselves as a community, we do not commune for nothing or merely gather for our selfish indulgence.

We commune to reflect — to worship the Creator, to grow in our Christ-likeness, to enhance our relationships, to be strengthened in our service.

We commune to act — to serve the people in our land from various ethnic backgrounds, differing religion, philosophy, or ideology — and to take care of creation.

We are a community moving through a cycle of action and reflection.

In the next 5 years, we’re clear about what we want to see: At least 1 Peace and Reconciliation Community in each of our 80 provinces by December 31, 2015.

All our activities, resource allocations, and energy focus are guided by our objectives .
